There are many activities available at the convention.  The choice is yours – participate in one, a few or all the available activities.  We Gnome you’ll have a fun time at whatever you choose to do.

Gnome and Olympic Activities

Door Decorating Contest is available for those interested.  You can have a great time decorating with your Gnomies and possibly win a prize.

Gnome Costume Contest is on Friday night in the Ballroom. Have your Chapter come dressed in their Gnome and/or Olympic attire. Get creative and win prizes! Go to the Contest page for more details. Sisters are encouraged to wear Gnome attire even if you are not entering the Gnome Costume Contest.

Olympic Pin Trading – It’s an Olympic tradition to trade pins at any Olympics.  BSP Olympic pin trading will occur on Friday Night.  

Create any type of pin or button for you or your Chapter that can be attached to a lanyard. The pin should be based on Gnome or Olympic themes or Beta Sigma Phi.  Maximum number of pins that would be needed is 220 or you can do whatever quantity you want.  The objective is to trade pins while meeting your sisters and see who can get the most pins.

The BSP Summer Gnome Olympics will be on Saturday morning.  The sports of Cornhole (doubles), Potato (shot) Put and Gnome Toss are available. They are for everyone and all abilities. The convention t-shirt makes a great Gnome Sporty attire to wear. We gnome you are wanting to have fun at some friendly competitions with your fellow sisters. The Olympic games will be kicked off by three-time Olympic gold medalist Kristin Armstrong.

General Activities

Marketplace – Throughout the convention the Marketplace will be available.  This is where both chapter Ways n Means and Silent Auction items will be available for purchase and bidding.

Gnome Scavenger Hunt – You’ll find a Gnome Scavenger Hunt card in your registration bag.  Complete the Gnome Scavenger Hunt at The Riverside Hotel by Sunday morning and turn in your card and be entered into a drawing for a prize.

Sightseeing

Boise Tolley Tour

Who would like to go sightseeing in a vintage open-air trolley?  

Come join the fun aboard our vintage open air Miss Molly Trolley. This private trolley will pick up at The Riverside Hotel at 2:45pm and provide a fully narrated 75 min tour covering downtown Boise History, Warm Springs Ave, Hyde Park and the East End.

Cost is $30 per person; gratuity is not included.

The maximum capacity is 31. We need a minimum of 20 people to have this activity with 10 people signed up by 12/31/2023.

We Gnome You Like Wine

Visit our wineries, breweries, and restaurants located right along the Greenbelt near The Riverside Hotel. 

Collect Them All

The No Host Wine/Beer walk is tentatively planned for Telaya Winery, Split Rail Winery, Coiled Winery, Barbarian Brewing and The Riverside Bar 365. Check your registration packet at check in for finalized locations and possible discounts. Participants will receive a “Gnome Olympic Colored Rock” at each spot they visit. Try and collect them all!

Feeling Crafty?

Make a BSP Pill Bottle Gnome at The Riverside Hotel Fireplace Foyer. A quick and easy 15-20 minutes kit.

The craft will be available 1:30pm – 4:00pm.

Boise River Greenbelt

The Boise River Greenbelt is one of Boise’s most beloved attractions. The 25-mile tree-lined pathway follows the north and south sides of the Boise River through the heart of the city and provides scenic views, wildlife habitat and pedestrian access to many of Boise’s popular riverside parks.

Walk, run, or bike along our beautiful greenbelt. This is the best hidden gem in Idaho.
